In a large mixing bowl, cream:
1/2 cup shortening, and
2 cups sugar

Add:
3 eggs, beating after adding each egg

In a second bowl, sift together:
3 1/2 cups flour
pinch of salt
2 tsp baking powder

To the flour mixture, mix in:
1 qt blueberries

Mix together all the above ingredients, and add:
1 cup milk
